National Gallery of Armenia

 Symposium dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the founder-director of the National Gallery of Armenia Ruben Drambyan. A symposium dedicated to Ruben Drambyan’s 125th birth anniversary will take place on October 5 and 6, 2016 in the fresco hall of the National Gallery of Armenia. Art historian, museologist and intellectual Ruben Drambyan had an inestimable contribution to the development of the national culture. He was the founder of the National Gallery of Armenia and Armenian museology as well as a skillful head of museography for many years. In the scope of the symposium R. Drambyan’s portraits created by various artists will be presented, including also the presentation of the comprehensive collection of R. Drambyan’s articles (author-Irina Drambyan). For the solemn closing of the symposium,a concert of classical music performed by the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will take placeon October 6, at 15:00.
